OptiPro will be attending two upcoming technology events that focus on the latest optical manufacturing advancements: APOMA Colorado Tech Workshop from November 9-11, and Mirror Technology SBIR/STTR Workshop from November 15-17.
The Colorado Tech Workshop is a premier optics event taking place November 9-11th, 2022. Presentations and speakers will focus on the most pressing topics facing the industry today. Signature talks will cover deep knowledge of ISO10110 standards, ITAR, and state-of-the-art optical manufacturing techniques.
The workshop will take place at the historic Hotel Boulderado. Built in 1908, it is one of the most famous and luxurious hotel landmarks in Boulder, Colorado.
Dave Mohring, Metrology Coordinator at OptiPro, will be presenting on “Fabrication Methods and Challenges of Freeform Optics” on Thursday, November 10th at 9:00AM.

Mirror Tech Days annually summarizes the USA Government’s investment strategies and activities in developing technology for any application (such as telescopes, imaging systems, seeker/trackers, high-energy laser systems, solar energy, etc.) which requires optical components. Tech Days covers technology investment efforts in: optical materials; substrate design & manufacture; optical fabrication and metrology technology; optical coatings; wavefront sensing and control via adaptive optics; nano-technology imaging technologies; etc.
If you plan to attend Tech Days, you will get the opportunity to see OptiPro give three presentations on technological developments in optical polishing and metrology:
- The ANCMM Metrology Loop – Tuesday, November 15th at 3:30PM
- P1: Wide Range Chromatic Interferometric Probe – Tuesday, November 15th at 3:45PM
- Polishing of X-Ray Optics – Wednesday, November 16th at 9:20AM
In addition, all Tech Day attendees are invited to an evening reception at OptiPro. OptiPro implements the technologies developed with SBIR projects to design and build innovative grinding, polishing, and measuring equipment for the precision optics and advanced ceramics industries. The reception will include refreshments and hors d’oeuvres while touring the facility and seeing OptiPro’s latest SBIR developments.
